How do I verify my Tangerine bank?

Lending Loop asks all clients to verify their bank account in order to make fund transfers to and from Lending Loop. This is also required to meet Canadian anti-money laundering regulations.

There are 3 ways to verify your Tangerine chequing or savings account with Lending Loop.

  • Image of VOID Cheque
  • Bank Statement PDF
  • Bank Screenshot (complete with full name, bank logo, transit number, account number and account balance)

To verify your account, please upload the document of your choice via the website under the "+Add Funds" section.

VOID Cheque

The easiest way to upload a VOID cheque is to download one from your online banking interface. 

  • Login to your Tangerine online banking

  • Click on 'Void Cheque'

  • A void cheque will display on your browser.  Download and upload the file to the document uploader on Lending Loop.


Bank Statement

  • Login to your Tangerine online banking

  • Click on 'Statements'

  • Click on the particular month's statement you wish to upload (the subject line should be 'Your X month chequing statement is ready'. The most recent statement is preferred.

  • Download the Statement
  • Upload it to your Lending Loop account

  • Login to your Tangerine online banking
  • Select the account you'd like to connect to Lending Loop 

  • The screen which you land on shows all the required information. The top left will have the bank logo, beside the account types it will show transit, account number, and balance and your name.

  • Upload it to your Lending Loop account
